Lukman Kabir, 43, of Toronto charged with Criminal Negligence Causing Death

On Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at 10:27 a.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision on Orton Park Road, north of Lawrence Avenue East.

It is alleged that:

– a 43-year-old man, riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle, was northbound on Orton Park Road,

– a 53 year-old man, driving a Ford Explorer SUV, was southbound on Orton Park Road, when he crossed over into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with the motorcycle driver,

-the driver of the motorcycle sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lukman Kabir, 43, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Criminal Negligence Causing Death.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, room 412, at 9 a.m.
