On May 27, 2010 Maria Ulyssa Allain, a 55-year-old woman from Bouctouche Cove, N.B. pleaded guilty to a charge of fraud for defrauding the Bouctouche Co-op of over $200,000.

The RCMP began an investigation in 2008 and discovered that this fraud had occurred over an 8-year period, from 2000 to 2008. Maria Allain was a long time employee of the Bouctouche Co-op and the manager at the time the matter was reported to the RCMP.

Maria Ulyssa Allain is scheduled to re-appear in Moncton Provincial Court on October 14, 2010 at 10:30 am for sentencing.
