Facebook has added yet another exciting feature to its long list of services, in attempt to make sure that its user never log off of from the social media giant. The announcement states that Facebook has added a new feature of voice-messaging and voice-calling for mobile users of Facebook iPhone App in Canada, who will now be able to use the messenger app for making direct phone calls by clicking on the “i” button, which will appear on the top right corner of every contact. The button will prompted the user to make a “Free Call.”

This features of voice-calling service has been rolled out to Canadian users for testing purposes only. The service makes use of the Voice over the Internet Protocol (VoIP) for allowing its users to be able to make phone calls while using the already existing data plan of the caller. Another new feature made available for entire Facebook community using iOS and Android platforms, enables the user to be able to record voicemail messages, with a limited duration of one minute and send them to friends. This feature can be used by simply clicking on the “+” button on the message box and press record, the message is recorded while you are holding the button. Releasing the button automatically sends the message, while sliding off cancels it.

For using these new features rolled out by Facebook, users are advised to update their Facebook mobile app to the latest version. Our sources reveal that so far Facebook has not planned to update these new features on its web version.
