Rogers Bandits caught, five South Asian men arrested for robbing Rogers stores

Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have completed an exhaustive investigation into a series of commercial robberies. A joint investigation initiated by Peel Regional Police, and including York Regional Police and the Toronto Police Service, has led to the arrests of five persons and a total of 63 charges.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2010, suspects entered the Rogers Wireless Store located at 4520 Ebenezer Road in Brampton. The suspects concealed their faces and produced an expandable baton. The victim, a 27 year-old Toronto man, was struck repeatedly. The suspects then fled with several cellular phones, Iphones, and Blackberries. The victim received minor injuries, as a result of this robbery.

On Tuesday, May 11, 2010, suspects entered the Rogers Video Store located at 6620 Finch Avenue West, in Toronto. The suspects were armed with expandable batons and ordered the two victims to the ground. The suspects then removed an iphone and fled the store. The victims, 36 and 21 years of age, are both from Toronto and did not sustain any injuries.

On Tuesday, May 18, 2010, suspects entered the Rogers store located at 1600 Steeles Avenue in Vaughan, armed with expandable batons. The 20 year-old female victim immediately fled to the back room. The suspects gained access to the room and dragged the victim out to the merchandise area. There, they removed a quantity of cellular phones and fled the store. The victim received minor injuries to her arm.

On Tuesday, May 25, 2010, suspects entered the Rogers Wireless Store located at 5317 Highway 7 West, in the city of Vaughan, armed with a metal pipe and saw. The two victims, a 19 year-old Vaughan man and 40 year-old man from Brampton, were ordered to turn over cash. The victims struggled with the suspects, who then fled the store. One of the victims sustained minor injuries, requiring medical attention.

On Wednesday, June 2, 2010, suspects entered the Rogers Wireless store located at 4367 Steeles Avenue West in Toronto. The suspects were armed with expandable batons and concealed their identity with bandannas. The victim, a 59 year-old man from East Gwillimbury, was forced to the ground. The suspects then removed a quantity of cellular phones and fled the store.

A short time later, on June 2, the suspects were located and arrested. The following individuals have been charged:

Moniz USMANI, 22 years of age, from Mississauga, has been charged with five (5) counts each of Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Forcible Confinement.
Muhammed CHOUDHERY, 20 years of age, from Mississauga, has been charged with five (5) counts each of Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Forcible Confinement.
Naseer AHSAN, 21 years of age, from Mississauga, has been charged with five (5) counts each of Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Forcible Confinement.
Satvir WARAICH, 19 years of age, from Mississauga, has been charged with five (5) counts each of Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Forcible Confinement.
Paramtej MUKKAR, 21 years of age, from Brampton, has been charged with five (5) counts each of Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Forcible Confinement.

  1. Not entirely accurate. Nothing was stolen on the 25th. The 40 year old man ran away.

    And the other victim struggled with the suspects to ensure nothing was taken. I wonder where you guys got these facts.

    Either way, I’m glad these fuckers got caught.
