Following a short investigation, the investigators of the Laurentides-Lanaudière-Outaouais Detachment, in collaboration with the Mirabel Police Service, arrested a man after conducting a raid at 160 du Compte Street in Saint-Colomban. While searching the premises, the police found 943 cannabis plants ready to be harvested. The cannabis was seized, along with five illegally stored firearms.

Michel Plante appeared in court in Saint-Jérome last Monday, facing charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, i.e. drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and production of marihuana. He could also be charged with unsafe storage of firearms.
