On Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at approximately 6:40 pm, police officers responded for a report of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Coventry Court and Raymond Avenue. Upon arrival officers observed the victim trapped under a white Dodge Journey. Windsor Fire had attended the scene and worked to free the victim. Windsor EMS who were also at the scene, provided medical assistance to the victim and transported him to the hospital. The victim, a 53 year old male, succumbed to his injuries. Preliminary investigation reveals that the white Dodge Journey was northbound in the 1000 block of Coventry Court when it struck the pedestrian. The 32 year old female driver of the Dodge was not injured. The Windsor Police Accident Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and are continuing to investigate the incident. At this time no charges have been laid.
