On Saturday, June 12, 2010, the Princess Margaret Hospital foundation, will be hosting the second annual "Ride to Conquer Cancer," starting in Toronto and finishing in Niagara Falls.

The event will feature more than 4,800 cyclists, riding from Toronto to Niagara Falls over a two-day period. The ride will start at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to reach the city limits of Toronto by 10:30 a.m.

Road closures: 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Route start time: 8:20 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Formation area: Prince’s Boulevard (west of Prince’s gate) full road

– southbound on Strachan Avenue (southbound lanes only)
– westbound Lakeshore Boulevard West (westbound lanes only)
– westbound Lakeshore Boulevard West from Parklawn to TTC loop just west of Brown’s Line (westbound curb lane only)

Turnover point: Toronto/Mississauga border

Motorists are advised to avoid the area, and consider the road closure when planning for their travels.

The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
