Three Winnipeg men arrested for robbing gas stations

On June 1st, 2010 at approximately 9:50 p.m., three male suspects attended to a gas bar in the 1400 block of Portage Avenue, where they approached the clerk and demanded cash and cigarettes.

The suspects obtained a quantity of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene making good their escape. The clerk was not injured during this Robbery.

On June 6th, 2010 at approximately 8:35 p.m., three male suspects attended to a gas bar located in the 1300 block of McPhillips Street, where they demanded and received a quantity of cigarettes and cash before leaving the scene. The clerk was not injured as a result of this robbery.

After a lengthy investigation by members of the Division 11 General Patrol, Division 11 Crime Units as well as officers from the Canine Unit, the Major Crimes Unit and the Organized Crime Unit, all 3 males have been arrested and are facing the following charges:

Kevin Todd FRANKE, 43 years, of Winnipeg
– Robbery
– Robbery with a firearm

Shane Alec MORRISSEAU, 22 years, of Winnipeg
– Robbery X2
– Disguise with intent X2

Clinton WIRFFEL, 24 years, of Winnipeg
– Robbery X2
– Disguise with intent X2
– Mischief Under $5,000.00
