Jason Richard Stevens of London arrested for stabbing a woman

On Thursday June 10 2010 at approximately 8:08pm London Police responded to the area of the pathway south of Grey St and east of Richmond St for a report of a female being stabbed.

The 30 year old female victim was walking her dog along the pathway when she was approached by an unknown male. The male then began following the victim. Suddenly without any warning the suspect came up from behind the victim and stabbed her with a knife in the upper torso. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was able to get to a phone and call police.

A search for the suspect ensued. The suspect was eventually located on High St near Tecumseh Ave.

He was subsequently arrested and taken to police cells.

The victim was fortunate and suffered what are described as minor injuries and is no longer in hospital.

Jason Richard STEVENS 21 years of London is charged with assault with a weapon.
