Giuliano Montoni killed and then house set on fire in Toronto

On Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 9:38 p.m., police responded to a call for a fire at 102 Lappin Avenue.

It is reported that:

– a man was removed from the building by members of Toronto Fire Services,

– the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Giuliano Montoni, 56.

The investigation has revealed the victim died prior to the fire starting.

The post-mortem examination determined the cause of death as blunt impact injuries to the body.

Police want to talk to anyone with information about the victim’s last movements, leading up to Saturday, May 8, 2010, or anyone who may have seen the victim or knows who he was with in the prior 48 hours.
