Stephen Theodore Skavinsky, 50 of Winnipeg charged with sexual assault on a minor

In May 2010 the Winnipeg Police Service Child Abuse Unit entered into an investigation regarding a younger teenage victim who had allegedly been the victim of sexual assault by a 50 year old male. The male suspect and the victim were acquainted through organized activities.

This investigation has revealed that between December 2008 and May 2010, a number of serious sexual offences were committed against the victim by this male.

Stephen Theodore SKAVINSKY, 50 years of Winnipeg, has been charged with the following offences:

– Sexual Interference
– Invitation to Sexual Touching
– Sexual Exploitation
– Sexual Assault
– Possessing Child Pornography
– Exposure to person under 14
– Internet Luring (Under the age of 14) X6

SKAVINSKY has been detained in custody at the Provincial Remand Centre.
