Today marks the 11th year anniversary of the murder of John Francis Alquiros.

On April 19th, 2002, at approximately 11:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a discovered body in the area of the Greenhead Road extension, located off Highway 103 in Timberlea. Greenhead Road is a rural area approximately one kilometer from residential housing and is often used for hiking and all-terrain vehicle use. The police investigation revealed that the Greenhead Road extension was the site of the murder and Mr. Alquiros died of gunshot wounds.
