Three male youths, 2 aged 16 and one 17, are all facing charges in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on May 22, 2010, in the 1400 block of Garnet Street. The victim of the shooting, 21 year-old Jodi Lynn BRYANT, was from the Kamsack area. All three accused are from Regina.

The homicide was one of three incidents that occurred within a short time span and within a 14-block geographic area in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 22, 2010. The three incidents are: a robbery of a 17 year-old male victim that occurred in the 1400 block of Robinson Street just prior to 3:45 a.m.; a shooting in the 1400 block of Garnet Street just prior to 3:46 a.m. that led to the death of Jodi Lynn BRYANT; and a robbery attempt and shooting in the 1100 block of Wascana Street at approximately 4:06 a.m. that led to the hospitalization of a 21 year-old male victim. Investigators now confirm they believe the three events to be linked; it is alleged the same persons were involved in all three incidents. There is no known connection between the victims of these offences. The accused are already facing numerous charges in connection to the events in the 1400 block of Robinson Street and 1100 block Wascana Street.

The three male youths cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. All three are charged with second degree murder, contrary to section 235 (1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The three will make their first court appearance on these charges in Youth Court at 9:30 a.m. on June 30, 2010.
