Leo Mol Sculpture “The Bather” recovered in Winnipeg

On June 30, 2010, the Winnipeg Police Service released information regarding the theft of a bronze Leo Mol Sculpture “The Bather” which was stolen from the Leo Mol garden area of the Assiniboine Park. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between June 28 and June 29.

On July 1, 2010 at approximately 7:30 a.m., Uniform members were dispatched to the rear of the first 100 block of Furby Street regarding the recovery of the sculpture. Area residents located the stolen item at which time members of the Winnipeg Police Service were notified.

No arrests have been made at this time.
