 On Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at 2:34 a.m., police responded to a call for a person with a knife at an apartment building on Dixon Road.

Officers attended and located a woman suffering from obvious signs of trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shortly after, police received a call for a pedestrian struck on Hwy. 401, near Martin Grove Road.

The victim has been identified as Ayan " Denise" Osman, 28.

A post-mortem examination was conducted on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. The cause of death was determined to be multiple stab wounds to the torso.

Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance locating a shirt the suspect was wearing during the attack.

It is also believed that the shirt was discarded somewhere between 390 Dixon Road and the Hwy. 401 overpass, at Martin Grove Road, on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m.

Area residents are asked to check around their homes. If found, please do not handle it but call police immediately.

Investigators are also looking to speak with anyone travelling eastbound on Hwy. 401 near Martin Grove Road, just before 3 a.m. on June 29, 2010, who may have witnessed a man being struck by a transport truck.
