Queens visit to Toronto on July 3, Road closures

The HRH Queen Elizabeth II will be visiting Toronto, starting Saturday, July 3, 2010 to Tuesday, July 6, 2010. The Queen’s itinerary primarily involves specific locations throughout the city, and ends with a grand ceremony at Queen’s Park.

On Tuesday, July 6, 2010, we have a unique situation-taking place where the Queen and the Shriners are occupying the same space, on the same day, at the same time. While HRH Queen Elizabeth 11 is attending Queen’s Park, Shriners from across North America will congregate north of Queen’s Park to form up for their parade which starts at 1 p.m.

TTC buses and streetcars will be allowed to cross the parade route during the parade at the following locations:

College Street West at University Avenue,
Dundas Street West at University Avenue
Queen Street West at University Avenue
King Street West at University Avenue
