Homicide detectives with the Edmonton Police Service are investigating the city’s latest homicide, following autopsy results released by the Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Justin Mark Samuels died as a result of a stab wounds Wednesday, May 15, 2013.

Investigators continue to interview patrons and staff members of a lounge near 107 Street and 104 Avenue, where Samuels, 25, was reportedly stabbed by a knife-wielding male suspect around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday. 

Background:
West Division members driving a  marked police vehicle in the vicinity were flagged down by a citizen near a lounge at 107 Street and 104 Avenue, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013.

Upon arrival, police found a 25-year-old male victim, who had sustained stab wounds. Paramedics rushed the man to hospital shortly thereafter, where he was pronounced dead.
