South West Division Detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding a 38-year-old woman who went missing yesterday (Saturday, July 3, 2010) from her home on Wakina Drive in Southwest Edmonton.

Sheri Lynn Popowich
left for a walk around 11 a.m. and has not been heard from or seen since then. Family say this is out of character for Popowich, who takes daily walks around the same time. It’s believed Popowich may have walked towards Rio Park or Westridge Park ravine. She’s also known to frequent a small strip mall at 170 Street and 69 Avenue called Wolf Willow Shopping Centre.

Family and police are concerned for her safety due to her ongoing health issues, which could cause her to be in medical distress.
Popowich is described as a white female, with medium-length brown hair, hazel eyes, approximately 5’6” and weighs around 125 lbs. She left her home wearing black Lululemon pants and a matching black jacket, as well as khaki coloured running shoes. She was carrying a black back pack with a stainless steel water bottle.
