Elderly Sudbury man Donald McDougall charged with possession of child pornography

Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…In March 2010, officers from the Greater Sudbury Police Service Cyber Crime Unit commenced an investigation of an individual identified to be in possession of, accessing and making available child pornography over the Internet.

On the 30th of June 2010, officers of the Ontario Provincial Police Child Sexual Exploitation Section, Greater Sudbury Police Service Cyber Crime Unit and Warren Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police attended a residence in Markstay, Ontario and executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant. 

Several computers and numerous data storage devices were seized. Evidence of child pornography was located at the scene.

Numerous firearms and ammunition were found to be insecure and stored in an unsafe manner, one of which was a semi-automatic pistol with a loaded magazine on the adjacent shelf.

As a result, Donald McDOUGALL (66 yrs, Markstay) has been charged with the following offences:

1. 2 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography 
2. Make Available Child Pornography 
3. Access Child Pornography
4. 15 counts of Unsafe storage of Ammunition / Firearm 

McDOUGALL is scheduled to attend bail court on the 2nd of July 2010.
