The missing man, described as 5’10, thin built, salt and pepper hair, was last seen around 7 a.m. on July 8, 2010. Yesterday’s search involved Water, Ground and Air Services and continued until dusk. The search will be resuming this morning and will also involve the RCMP’s Under Water Recovery Team.
Shortly before noon on July 9, 2010, RCMP recovered the body of the missing 54-year-old Saint John man following an extensive search in the South Oromocto Lake area. The man was reported missing by a family member who discovered a 14 ft. aluminum boat, unmanned, with the motor still running on South Oromocto Lake around 8:30 a.m. on July 8, 2010. The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
