Man arrested for uttering death threats at City of Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz

Uniform members were dispatched to a threat incident which had previously taken place at a location in the 1800 block of Chancellor Drive.

The investigation has revealed that a 67 year old male allegedly made threats to harm a 56 year old male and City of Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit conducted an investigation which resulted in an arrest being made.

On June 30, 2010 at approximately 3:40 p.m., the 67 year old male was located and arrested. He is facing the following charges: Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm x 2.

He has been released on a Promise to Appear.
