Shawn Bruyere escapes police custody in Winnipeg

On July 10, 2010, a 21 year old male was arrested in connection with a robbery with a weapon incident which occurred in the area of the 3000 block of Pembina Highway.

This male was conveyed to the District 6 police station located at 1350 Pembina Highway for further processing. At approximately 2:20 p.m. today, the prisoner successfully escaped from the police facility.

The male is identified as: Shawn BRUYERE, 21 years. He is described as: Aboriginal, 5’8” in height, 140 lbs., short black hair, and medium build, wearing: a white muscle shirt and blue track pants with a white stripe on the sides.

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting that BRUYERE not be approached if located.
