Two Windsor men arrested in a marijuana grow-op raid

Windsor Police have two men in custody after officers from the PAVIS ( Provincial Anti Violence Intervention Strategy ) Unit executed a search warrant  at a residence in LaSalle.  At 3:00 p.m. Friday  July 9, 2010  PAVIS officers entered a home in the 2800 block of Front Road in LaSalle.  Prior to entering the residence, two men were arrested outside without incident.
Upon entry, officers found a quantity of marijuana, a quantity of currency and two long guns that were stored unsafely.  Officers then entered the unattached garage and located the remains of a grow operation along with bags containing loose marijuana .  While outside of the home, PAVIS officers followed a hose that lead them to a grassy area approximately 400 feet away. 

This hose was being used to water a large outdoor marijuana grow of 210 plants that were 3-5 feet high.

The total estimated value of the seized marijuana is estimated at $124,000.
Keith CAMPBELL – 58 years of LaSalle is charged with one count of Unlawfully Producing Cannabis Marijuana, one count of Possession of Marijuana For The Purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm and two counts of Possession of a Firearm Without a License.
Kyle CAMPBELL – 26 years of LaSalle is charged with one count of Unlawfully Producing Cannabis Marijuana, two counts of Possession of Marijuana For The Purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm and two counts of Possession of a Firearm Without a License.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court today to answer to the charges.
