Anthony “Tony” Nolan body found along the shoreline in the Dead Man’s Bay

On July 8th 2010 the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a report of a body in the water, along the shoreline in the Dead Man’s Bay area. A lobster fisherman noticed the body and notified authorities.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has since recovered the body and positively identified the deceased as 53-year-old Anthony "Tony" Nolan.

The Major Crime and Forensic Identification Units are currently working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to investigate the details surrounding his death. The RNC are requesting the assistance of the public to provide information regarding the deceased’s whereabouts from July 6th after 10:00 PM to July 8th at 7:00 AM.

Although no photograph is available at this time, he is described as approximately 5′ 9" tall, 180 lbs, with long brown hair, a long beard and brown eyes. When last seen he was wearing black jeans, belt and boots, possibly a green dress shirt and a black coat. Tony Nolan also resided in the Central area of St. John’s.
