The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Economic Crime Unit are issuing an advisory to local businesses about a fourty-five year old male who is opening up fraudulent accounts in the St.
John’s and Mt. Pearl areas.

The RNC Economic Crime Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Richard Sharpe, who is opening up fraudulent accounts in the St. John’s and Mt. Pearl area under the names of two legitimate businesses from Corner Brook, NL. The names of these legitimate companies are "Sharpe’s Frozen Foods Ltd" and "Marble View Estates Ltd". Richard Sharpe does not have authorization to conduct official business for these companies and over the course of the last two months, has defrauded the owners for approximately $60,000.

The RNC also has an outstanding warrant for Richard Sharpe’s arrest stemming from a separate investigation in the Corner Brook area.
