District 3 RCMP were called to the scene of a fatal house fire in the early morning hours of July 17, 2010, in Long Point, near Hampton, N.B.

When members arrived on scene, shortly before 1am, the house was fully engulfed in flames. Police later learned that three people were still in the home, and the bodies of two women and one man have been recovered.

The Fire Marshall and Coroner were called to the scene. RCMP fire investigators are also on scene. There has not been a determination made as to how this fire started, and the case is still under investigation. The names of the deceased are not being released at this time, until next of kin have been notified. Autopsies will be performed later today.
