Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are asking witnesses to come forward following the murders of two men in the City of Vaughan.

On Friday, July 12, 2013, at 1 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a weapons call outside the Terrace Banquet Hall on Creditstone Road near Rutherford Road. Officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to hospital where he died from his injuries.

Homicide investigators attended the scene and determined that the men were shot outside the banquet hall where a private party had been underway. Investigators believe there may have been up to 500 people in attendance at the party, with about 100 remaining at the time of the shooting.

The victims have been identified as Salvatore Calautti, 41 years, and James Tusek, 35 years, both of the City of Toronto.

Investigators from the York Regional Police Homicide Unit want to speak with anyone who was in attendance at the party last night or was in the area of Creditstone Road around the time of the shooting.
