In the early morning hours of July 19, 2010, a pickup truck travelling eastbound on the Trans-Canada highway collided with a moose at mile marker 115, outside of Perth-Andover.

The vehicle lost control, crossed the median and went into the ditch on the opposite side of the highway. The driver of the truck, a 42-year-old Keswick Ridge man, passed away from his injuries.

Two other passengers in the truck were not seriously injured.

Following notification of his family, the RCMP is able to identify the victim of a moose collision on the Trans-Canada highway outside of Perth-Andover in the early morning hours of July 19.

42-year-old Arthur Versloot of Keswick Ridge was killed when he lost control of the truck he was driving after colliding with a moose. Two other passengers were in the truck at the time, but were not seriously injured.
