Amber Pigeon of Ottawa charged with robbery

The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges against a female suspect following a commercial robbery on July 15, 2010, in the area of St-Laurent Boulevard and Russell Road.

On July 18, 2010, at approximately 9:00 pm, a female suspect entered a local restaurant franchise and demanded cash. The suspect then fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police subsequently located and arrested the suspect after witnesses directed them to a nearby apartment complex.

No weapons were used in the commission of this robbery.

The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit has charged Amber PIGEON, 30 years-old of Ottawa, with one count of robbery, one count of wearing a disguise during the commission of an offence and one count of breach recognizance. PIGEON will appear in court later today
