Ontario biker Kyle Lee James dies in a fatal motor vehicle collision

At approximately 3:16 p.m. yesterday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision in Dover Township.

A 21-year-old Grande Pointe man was riding his dirt bike with three other family members along a field when they came upon a 13m wide water filled ditch on Bear Line Road north of Mud Creek Line.  The man went air borne, clearing the water portion of the ditch, however collided with the side of the ditch bank causing him and the bike to flip up into the field. 
 
The man sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – Sydenham Campus.  Medical personnel attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful and he was later pronounced dead. 
 
The man has been identified as Kyle Lee James, 21 years, of Grande Pointe, Ontario.
 
Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service offer their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. James.
 
The Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Unit continues to investigate this collision.
