The Vancouver Police Department is asking the public to be on the lookout for a high risk offender that is wanted Canada-wide for breaching his conditions of release.

James Leo Gracie was the subject of a public notification in June of this year after his release from custody. The Vancouver Police believe that Gracie poses a risk of significant harm to the safety of female and male children, as well as female adolescents. He was residing in a federal halfway house in Vancouver when he left last night and failed to return, in violation of his release conditions.

Gracie has a history of sex-related convictions involving children, both known and not known to him.

Gracie is 50 years old, white, 6’1” tall, 170 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes and he speaks with a French-Canadian accent. He has a tattoo of a rattlesnake and “Slim Jim” on his right forearm and a heart with leaves on his left arm. Gracie has a large scar on right cheek and chin and a large bump on his forehead.

Anyone who sees James Leo Gracie is asked to call 9-1-1.
