USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The integrated team investigating the sexual exploitation of children on the Internet of the Sûreté du Québec, in partnership with the RCMP, conducted yesterday morning arrested a man of 26 years for crimes related to pornography.
Kavtelishvili Alexander, a resident of the state of New York Georgian citizen, appeared yesterday afternoon at the courthouse in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. He faced charges of possessing and distributing child pornography under section 163.1 of the Criminal Code.
The investigation that led to his arrest began July 18, 2010 during a control agents of the Border Services Agency (CBSA) at the Lacolle border crossing on Highway 15.
During the search of his vehicle, the CBSA officers seized several computer storage media that have been preliminarily analyzed. Further examination will be conducted and could lead to other charges.
