Windsor Police are conducting a sexual assault investigation alleged to have happened at a downtown apartment building. The victim alleges that on August 12, 2013 at approximately 1:45 a.m. she was sleeping in her bed. She was awakened by the suspect who is known to her. The victim alleges that after being awakened, she was sexually assaulted by the suspect. It is believed that the suspect gained access to the apartment unit using a key. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
A warrant has been issued for Eric James Brooks, 48 years of age. Brooks is charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault as well as Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling. Brooks is described as being a male black, 48 years of age. He is 5’8″ tall and weighs 170lbs.
