Four youths arrested for 2009 double murder in Winnipeg

 On December 12th, 2009, four males had been at a house party in the 400 block of Martin Avenue West, however they were subsequently asked leave the residence. These males returned a short time later armed with a shotgun and shots were fired.

Two male victims, Tyler Hawula and Matthew Reynolds, succumbed to their injuries, while a third male victim recovered from his injuries. The suspect males were arrested and charged with 2nd degree Murder in relation to this incident.

As a result of a continued investigation by members of the Homicide Unit, and in consultation with the Crown Attorney the charges of 1st degree Murder were authorized and warrants for their arrest were obtained.

On July 28th, 2010, two 17 year old males and two 18 year old males were arrested in their respective institutions and have been charged with:

– Murder 1st Degree X2
– Attempt Murder

They have been returned back into custody.
