Bike Officers from 21 Division have arrested an 18 year old suspect with a 12 gauge shotgun in Brampton Park.

On Thursday, July 29, 2010, Bike Unit Officers were patrolling Earnscliffe Park at 12 Earnscliffe Gate in Brampton. When, at approximately 3:40 p.m., it is alleged that the suspect was in possession of stolen property, the suspect investigated and arrested. During the arrest and subsequent search of the suspect, officers found the suspect to be in possession of a 12 gauge pump action shotgun.

Officers have found that this shotgun had been stolen during a residential break and enter a few weeks ago.

The suspect, Kevin RAINFORD, an 18 year old Brampton man, has been arrested and charged with, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and seven firearms offences. RAINFORD appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday, July 30, 2010.
