RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing man.

Joseph Colin Bray, 64-years-old, of Canso left his residence yesterday to go fishing and has not returned. He was last seen leaving his home on Sterling Road heading to the Fox Island area. His car was located at the nearby Seabreeze Campground. Local enquiries failed to identify any one who had seen him.

Police continue to investigate and the Strait Area Search and Rescue team has been called into assist.

Joe is described as a white male, 5’9′, 145 lbs, with grey hair and wears glasses. Mr. Bray was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey shirt with white stripes and a green windbreaker.

Update: RCMP have located the missing man from Canso.

At 5:22 p.m., a DNR helicopter located what was believed to be the remains of Joseph Colin Bray, 64-years-old, of Canso. At 5:55 p.m., police and searchers recovered the body and confirmed it is Mr. Bray.

He had left his residence yesterday to go fishing and did not return. He was last seen leaving his home on Sterling Road heading to the Fox Island area. His car was located at the nearby Seabreeze Campground. Local enquiries failed to identify any one who had seen him.
