Witnesses to the incident report seeing a male running northbound on 172 Street. He is described as white male, approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a light coloured shirt, possibly white, grey or silver in colour. He was also wearing dark pants.
Air-1 and the Canine Unit were brought in to assist in the investigation of the crime scene. Investigators have interviewed at least five witnesses to the incident, conducted door-to-door interviews and will be reviewing any security video at any of the businesses in the Callingwood strip mall.
While it is still early in the investigation, there aren’t believed to be any gang affiliations.
Next of kin have been notified, but the name of the deceased will not be released until following an autopsy.
