Delbert Mitton of Ancaster charged in the death of Gladys Bridger of Hamilton

 The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit has completed the investigation of the City’s 11th traffic fatality and has charged an Ancaster man.

On July 2nd, 2010 at approximately 4:00 p.m., a red pick up truck crossed over the centre line of Garner Rd. near Anson Rd. in Hamilton and struck a car traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the car was rushed to hospital and passed away the following day as a result of the injuries she received in the collision.

As a result of the investigation into the collision, the driver of the red pick up truck has been charged with careless driving. The deceased was identified as 87-year old Gladys Bridger of Hamilton.

Charged with Careless Driving is Delbert Mitton, 68 yrs. of Ancaster. He is expected to appear in court on August 25th, 2010 in Traffic Court.
