Since November 2009, members of the Hamilton Police Service Gangs and Weapons Enforcement Unit (G.W.E.U.) have been receiving information about a "MAC 10" submachine gun that was being passed around between numerous Hamilton gang members and associates. On August 6th, 2010 members of the GWEU received information that the "MAC 10" in question was in an apartment at building located on Park Street South.
On Friday, August 6th, 2010, at approximately 10:30 p.m., members of the Hamilton Police Service G.W.E.U., assisted by the Emergency Response Unit, executed a search warrant in an apartment at a building located on Park St. S. in the area of Duke St. George Andrew NOSSEY was located in the apartment, alone. A MAC 11 machine gun was located in the bedroom closet. A small quantity of cocaine was also seized.
