Three RCMP officers from New Brunswick and one from Prince Edward Island will be serving as the Colour Guard during the pre-game ceremony for the Toronto Blue Jays- Boston Red Sox baseball game on Sunday, August 22 in Boston.

Corporal Jean-Marc Paré, Corporal Greg Lupson and Constable Ian Grassman from New Brunswick along with Staff Sergeant Jamie George of Prince Edward Island will be carrying the Canadian and American flags prior to the game.

Red Sox management made the request to the Mounties in July about serving as the Colour Guard for the game.

“We all jumped at the opportunity as it’s an honour to be representing Canada and the RCMP at a Major League Baseball game,” says Corporal Jean-Marc Paré. “The four of us are volunteering for this on our own time and paying our own expenses to be a part of this great experience.”

The game begins at 2:35 p.m. AST.
