Dustin Roy arrested in Sudbury on various charges

On the 21st of August 2010, around 6 pm officers from the Greater Sudbury Police Service attended at an address on Richard Street, Sudbury to check for a wanted party. While officers were waiting for a warrant to enter the residence, the male tried fleeing from a basement window but was arrested after a short foot chase. Dustin Roy, 23 years, was the subject of an Arrest Warrant issued by the Greater Sudbury Police Service for the offences of Flight From Police and Dangerous Driving.

Shortly before 8:30 am a Search Warrant was executed at the same residence. A second male, Robert Petryna, 31 years, was located in side the residence and arrested on an outstanding warrant for Theft Under and Breach Probation. Located inside the residence was a shotgun stolen from the North Bay area on the 13th of August 2010. Both males now face additional charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime. They will appear in Bail Court on the 23rd of August 2010.
