On Saturday, August 28, 2010, at approximately 6 a.m., the “Live Green Toronto Festival” will take place in the downtown core.
Road closures will be in effect for the following area:
Southbound traffic: 6:30 a.m, Yonge Street from Edward Street to Queen Street.
At 9 a.m., the closure on Yonge Street will be extended from Gerrard Street to Richmond Street.
Yonge Street will reopen at 11:59 p.m. to all traffic
Traffic congestion on the roadways and within the transit system is to be expected. Police suggest the public consider alternate routes.
