Edmonton Police Service Homicide Detectives have arrested and charged a man in connection with the homicide of James Lee Catholique and are also searching for another man.

Rene Francis Quinn, 50, was arrested and charged on August 31, 2010, with second degree murder and possession of a weapon.

EPS Homicide Detectives continue to investigate information into the second person involved in the death of Catholique.

Detectives are still interested in speaking with a woman who was driving an SUV near the crime scene and was asked by a witness to call 9-1-1. Anyone with information that may assist with the investigation is asked to contact the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567.

Background:

James Lee Catholique, 23, suffered head trauma in an apparent altercation that took place in the area of 100 Street and 107 A Avenue around 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2010. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses came forward with information following media coverage of the homicide investigation.
