Police located a fleeing robbery suspect, still in possession of the stolen money, moments after he accosted a victim completing a cash deposit at an ATM in Oshawa.

On Sunday August 29, 2010 at approximately 10 p.m. the lone male victim was conducting a banking transaction at the Bank of Montreal kiosk ATM on King Street West in Oshawa when he was accosted by the lone suspect. The victim was physically assaulted and his cash deposit stolen. The victim did not require medical attention. The victim returned to his parked vehicle nearby and discovered one of the tires had been damaged.

Responding officers attended the vicinity and the accused was located walking near the intersection of Pine and Montrave Avenues and arrested without incident. The accused was in possession of the stolen money.

Chris Macleod, age 25 of Mapleridge Drive in Pickering is charged with: Robbery and Mischief Under $5,000. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
