One man suffered a non-life threatening stab wound after an altercation at a rooming house in Ajax early this morning.

On Thursday, September 2, 2010 at approximately 1:17 a.m. officers were called to a Fletcher Avenue residence (Rossland Road West/Harwood Avenue North area) in Ajax for a report of a stabbing. Two men in a rooming house were involved in a verbal altercation which led to the stabbing incident.

The suspect was arrested on scene when police arrived and two knives were recovered. The 18-year-old male victim had made his way to the backyard of a nearby residence on Perfitt Crescent before police caught up with him. He was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening stab wound.

Johnny LINDO, age 44 of Fletcher Avenue in Ajax is charged with: Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon; Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace. He was held for a bail hearing.
