A man faces charges after an incident Friday afternoon in Dartmouth.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. a woman was walking her dog in the area of Lilac and Lyon Streets in Dartmouth. A vehicle approached her and the driver grabbed her by the arm and attempted to pull her into the vehicle. The responding officers aired a description of the vehicle and learned from RCMP officers that a vehicle matching the description was involved in an accident in Cole Harbour. Investigators attended the accident and arrested the driver of the vehicle without incident.

Thirty-year-old Jouan Terrel Johnson of North Preston was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face charges of sexual assault and kidnapping.
