Human remains found in Abbotsford identified as 2011 missing Vancouver man’s Barry Hinchcliffe

On February 16, 2014 human remains were found at the Fraser River near Walters Street in Abbotsford, BC. Through the assistance of the BC Coroner’s Service the remains have been identified as 44 year old, Barry Hinchcliffe of Vancouver who went missing from Mission in September, 2011. IHIT continues to conduct this investigation as a homicide. Cause of death and other information relating to the remains are not being released at this time.
