Police search for the driver who hit Lindsay Tamminga in Mississauga

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are looking for a suspect after a 23 year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, which subsequently fled the scene.

On Thursday, September 17, 2010, at 11:06 p.m., the victim was out walking with a friend, near the intersection of Creditview Road and Kenninghall Boulevard. Upon reaching this intersection the two began to cross Creditview Road.

At the same time, the suspect vehicle was also approaching the intersection, travelling north on Creditview Road. At this time the victim was struck by the vehicle, which subsequently failed to stop. The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling north on Creditview Road.

The victim, Lindsay TAMMINGA, a 23 year-old Mississauga resident, was transported to a Toronto trauma hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored sedan, and will have front-end damage as a result of the collision.
