Ishmal Fayez Tasse of Winnipeg charged with weapon offences

On Friday, September 17th, 2010, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Members of the Organized Crime Unit, along with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant on a residence in the 800 block of Autumnwood Drive.

Two males were located inside the residence and the items were seized:

– a pistol and ammunition
– a small amount of Marihuana
– Approximately 50, ¼ gram pieces of Crack Cocaine, with an estimated street value of 1,000 dollars
– Assorted drug trafficking materials

Ishmal Fayez TASSE, 27 years of Winnipeg has been detained in custody and is facing the following charges:

– Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
– Possession of Firearm,etc, while Prohibited
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance
– Possessing Substance for purposes of trafficking- Cocaine
– Possessing controlled drug or substance- Cannabis Marihuana

A 24 year old male from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

– Possessing Substance for purposes of trafficking- Cocaine
– Possessing controlled drug of substance- Cannabis Marihuana

He has been released on a Promise to Appear.
