On September 16, 2010, District 9 RCMP conducted a search warrant at a residence in Saint-Quentin. During the search, RCMP seized over 4200 pills believed to be ecstasy and methamphetamine (sometimes referred to as "speed"), along with over 400 grams of marijuana, 200 illegal cigarettes and an unsafely stored, unlicensed firearm.

52-year old Ghislain Parent of Saint-Quentin was arrested and now faces several charges including possession of methamphetamine and cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. This is in addition to four similar charges stemming from a previous search warrant conducted at the same residence in January of 2010. Ghislain Parent has been remanded into custody pending a court appearance.

The investigation continues.
